WHO WE ARE

Since 2014, we have been working on developing  the Stereotype Project, a project wherein young artists throughout the world tackle stereotypes they face using any platform of artistic media. With the help of a large online artistic community, the movement encouraged the participation of over 800 artists, some as young as eleven, in the first few weeks.  While the project is predominantly featured online, participants have used tools ranging from #2 pencils to Adobe Photoshop to achieve the desired effect. The Stereotype Project combines art, self expression, and political awareness in the form of approachable and understandable information that any audience has the capacity to engage with.

By creating an online movement for self expression and awareness, many students who are still shaping their views of the world are exposed to the different beliefs, mindsets, and struggles of their peers throughout the world. One of the main issues today is the large number of young people becoming involved in politics and social justice not feeling that their voices are being heard. Through the Stereotype Project, our newer generations are able to join together to start the conversation.

WHAT WE DO

Using art and writing, we aim to unite students from all over the world.

We encourage anyone, regardless of age or location, to submit media to us and share their story. Once submitted, the piece will be added to a digital collage alongside any other submissions. The collage will be visible to anyone, allowing for the relaying of a positive message that almost anyone will find some way to relate to. Additionally, we have students writing opinion and factual pieces on current events in order to help educate and share their thoughts on our world.
